Bernard Brouwer switched from the program flights to the marathon flights in 2010 and since 2019 he also baskets sometimes for the ZLU flights. And in 2021 with great succes! He had good results on National Narbonne and National Agen ZLU, but an awesome result on Barcelona: with only 1 pigeon in the race, his “BARCA” won the 21st National Barcelona against 4.838 pigeons (86th against 16.485 pigeons on International Barcelona) !

But apart from his sidesteps on the ZLU flights he is extremely succesful on the NPO marathon flights with afternoon release! The basis of his stock are the pigeons from Combinatie Verwaaijen but especially from Arjan Beens whose pigeons gave an enormous impuls to the loft of Bernard Brouwer since 2014. 

 

Also very spectacular were the arrivals of not less than 7 (!) pigeons in the middle of the night on 3 different flights in 2021 ! It’s proven again and many of the marathon fanciers know: nightflying is in the genes of the Arjan Beens’ pigeons !

Bernard Brouwer had two fantastic season in 2022 & 2021, but the years before he was already one of the guys in his province Brabant to beat and he became already 9th National Marathon Loft Champion in two subsequent years ! Bernard Brouwer has one of the best marathon lofts of The Netherlands on the NPO marathon races !

 

This season Bernard had again two top pigeons: 1st (“DE 523”) & 4th (“MATHIEU”) Gouden Crack Marathon FBZ (Fondclub Zuid Nederland) !! “DE 523” was the best of all and winner of:

1st Gouden Crack FBZ

4th National Ace NPO Marathon
