Danny de Voogd – Yerseke
Danny de Voogd is both very succesfull as a businessman with his renowned restaurant “De Branding” and with his winged friends. It was the year 1986 when he made his appearance in the sport and he started with only 5 pigeons. And actually, from a very early age, he was already doing well in pigeon racing. First like many of us on the program flights and later on the long distance NPO flights. Once he turned the switch onto the marathon races he invested in pigeons from the best “Barcelona fanciers” in order to aim at this prestigious classic race. His main goal for the future is to be succesful at Barcelona International.
His restaurant “De Branding” is located in a beautiful surroundings, just opposite the oyster and lobster park. His drive and ambition to become (one of) the best in pigeonsports and in his proffesion is best shown to view the homarium which he created under his restaurant, in which lobster, crab and oysters and other shellfish can happily enjoy their last moments. And it only appears from this that Danny knows very well how to handle everything, both with his pigeons as well as with business matters regarding “De Branding”. All this gives the customer the assurance and guarantee that all the goodies that the chefs serve to the customers are 100% fresh.
Back to his pigeons: since Danny sold his long distance racers a couple of years ago, he visited among others Kees Droog, Jelle Jellema, Herbots brothers, and Joost De Smeyter to buy from their best marathon/Barcelona pigeons in order to achieve his dream: clocking early birds from Barcelona! He started breeding with his purchases from the beforementioned Barcelona champs two years ago and his yearlings will have their debut on the 1000km flights this season.
To name a few breeders, Danny has bought children from PACO (5 Nat Pau Kees Droog), BARCELONA JAN (1 Nat Barcelona Trio Vollebregt), PRINS BARCELONA (1 Nat Barcelona Lindenberg), SON CAS (1 Int Pau De Smeyter), HEILIGE GEEST (1 Nat St Vincent Tim Hage), FIGHTER (1 Nat Acepigeon Nico Volkens) as well as some great pigeons from Jelle Jellema (lines of KLEIN KWEEKSTERTJE, ZOON MISS GIJSJE 430, EVI, ROMEE, ANKE).
From all of these super (Barcelona) breeders Danny formed a nice select group of pigeons for his auction at Pigeoncom!!
